Union Station (French: Gare d'Union) is a former railway station located in Montreal, Quebec. It is located on the corner of Rue Marguerite-d'Youville and McGill Street. The building today houses a restaurant called Union Station. There was no union station (a station shared by multiple railway companies) in Montreal. Each company had its own station.
Union Station was built in 1910. It was purchased by Grand Trunk Railway which completed its construction.
Grand Trunk became part of Canadian National Railway in 1923 and expanded the station for one of its divisions, the Montreal and Southern Counties Railway. The station was closed in 1956.
The station was the terminus for an interurban streetcar which served towns on the south shore such as Saint-Lambert, Longueuil, Greenfield Park, Saint-Hubert, Chambly and Granby.
